lobster quadrille day 1/3
After a super early morning flight our crew arrived in San Diego. we went straight from the airport to scope out some dive spots.
once we found a reasonable launch site, we needed to test our gear before the first official night dive. reason being is that we were all amateurs rolling up with fresh new west suits and flippers that had never been used.
josh took first decent into the kelp forest and we saw one lobster but werennt aloud to touch.
charles spent most of his time trying to beat up the waves.
then it was time to suit up for the real deal midnight lobster session. we pulled up on the side of the rode, suited up and barged through some really nice hotel fully decked in scuba gear.
me and charles jumped in first to check it out.
we fished for about 3 hours, and only nabbed 2 keepers.
this is what it looks like when you fly to california to go lobster fishing and come up empty handed.
this is the last picture taken of the spot we fished at. it was a pretty amazing experience to swimming in the middle of the night in foreign seas. chris saw a seal, stakes saw a shark, and everyone ended up safe and sound.
come back to tomorrow for day 2/3
